Is Prescription Care considered a Jakafi coupon?

The Jakafi patient assistance program offered to eligible enrollees through Prescription Care is not a coupon, generic Jakafi, or a discount card. Prescription Care does not offer printable coupons, rebates, savings cards, trial offers, or free samples.

If you are looking for a Jakafi coupon, keep in mind that you can likely save more on the medication via Prescription Care. When obtaining your Jakafi medication via Prescription Care, your total cost for the medication will never be more than $49 per month.

What is Jakafi prescribed for?

Jakafi is prescribed to patients with intermediate or high-risk myelofibrosis. Jakafi is also indicated for patients with polycythemia vera who have used hydroxyurea but either did not benefit from treatment or could not tolerate it.

Jakafi is not a cure for myelofibrosis or polycythemia vera, but it can help to manage some of the symptoms associated with the two conditions, including: itching, night sweats, abdominal discomfort, bone and/or muscle pain.

Conditions treated by Jakafi

Myelofibrosis

Myelofibrosis is a rare disease which affects the bone marrow and its ability to produce blood cells. Patients usually develop scarring within bone marrow, which produces either too many or too few blood cells. In those with reduced blood cell production, the spleen may become enlarged.

Symptoms of myelofibrosis include itching, night sweats, bone and muscle pain, abdominal discomfort, early feeling of fullness after meals, and pain under the left rib.

Polycythemia Vera

Polycythemia vera is a rare blood cancer. Patients produce too many red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. This causes blood to thicken, leading to complications like heart attack and stroke. Symptoms include itchiness, fatigue, blurred vision, excessive sweating, fevers, and unexplained weight loss.

Polycythemia vera is a progressive disease which often worsens over time. However, there are a number of treatments which can help to manage symptoms of the disease.

*Qualifying persons may obtain medications directly from patient assistance programs without any out-of-pocket cost (or for less than $49 per medication). However, our monthly flat rate of just $49 per medication spares you the hassle of tracking down the different programs and filling out all the required paperwork for each program.

Enrollees enjoy a full-service solution, as Prescription Care assists them and their physicians with the entire process. We prepare all required documents for the physician to sign, help enrollees manage all prescription refills, monitor eligibility criteria, and maintain enrollment.

**If you do not receive medications because you were determined to be ineligible for the prescription assistance by the applicable pharmaceutical companies and you have a letter of denial, we will refund any fees you paid toward medications for which you did not qualify to receive prescription assistance (Refund).

To receive a Refund, you must send the letter of denial to us by fax to 866-262-2603, or by e-mail to [email protected] within 30 days of your receipt of such letter. The Refund is your sole and exclusive remedy for any fees you may wish to dispute.
