Am I eligible for the Cuvitru patient assistance program?

You could receive your Cuvitru without paying the full retail price if you meet the eligibility criteria for assistance. This criteria is set by the pharmaceutical companies who are providing assistance programs. At NiceRx we review each application individually, although the main factors considered by most programs are:

  • I am a permanent, legal resident of the United States or Puerto Rico
  • I am uninsured or my insurance doesn’t cover my medication
  • I meet certain income eligibility requirements

How do I apply for Cuvitru patient assistance?

We do everything that we can to take the hassle and stress out of applying for patient assistance programs. Simply start by filling in our enrollment application. We will ask for details about your healthcare provider, your insurance, and your household income. This information is required by the pharmaceutical companies you are applying to for assistance. We may also be able to help you access patient assistance for other medications that you have been prescribed, so be sure to tell us about any medications you are taking as well as Cuvitru.

NiceRx will review the information you have provided, and if we determine that you may be eligible for assistance, we will seek to enroll you in the Cuvitru patient assistance program. We will handle the enrollment process for you by working with your healthcare provider and preparing all the required paperwork for your doctor to sign. We will also request your Cuvitru medication refills on your behalf for up to 1 year once you are enrolled in the program.

Is NiceRx a Cuvitru coupons provider?

At NiceRx, we help eligible individuals access the Cuvitru patient assistance program. This means that we are not a Cuvitru coupon, a Cuvitru discount card, or a Cuvitru copay card provider. We do not offer any medication trial offers, or free Cuvitru samples.

Can NiceRx help me get Cuvitru if I have insurance?

What is Cuvitru?

Cuvitru contains the prescription medicine immune globulin subcutaneous (human) (IGSC). It belongs to a class of drugs known as Immune Globulins. Cuvitru may be used on its own or in combination with other medications. Cuvitru is used to treat the symptoms of Primary Immune Deficiency in adults and children over 2 years of age. Cuvitru is also used to treat chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy, an autoimmune disorder in which the immune system attacks the nerves, causing muscle weakness and numbness.

Cuvitru is made from donated human plasma and may contain viruses or other infectious agents. Donated plasma is tested and treated to reduce the risk of contamination. It is important to know that there is still a small chance it could transmit disease. Discuss any concerns regarding this risk with you doctor.

Cuvitru active ingredients

Cuvitru contains a number of different IgG antibodies, which are active against a wide variety of bacteria and viruses. Cuvitru also contains a range of antibodies that are able to interact with and alter the activity of cells of the immune system, as well as antibodies that are able to react with other cells such as erythrocytes. The exact purpose of these antibodies and how they work is however not fully understood.

Cuvitru is injected under your skin using an infusion pump. Do not inject Cuvitru directly into a vein. A healthcare professional may teach you how to use the medication by yourself. Cuvitru can be given daily, or once every 1 to 2 weeks. Cuvitru should be used at regular intervals to keep a steady amount of the drug in your body at all times. Keep a record of the dates and times you have the injection and where you injected it on your body. Cuvitru is given slowly. You may need to use up to 8 different catheters to infuse this medicine into different parts of your body at the same time. You should not inject into the same place on your body two times in a row. The infusion should only be prepared when you are ready to use it.
